Wonderland
Eff is the epitome of desperation, filth, poverty and loneliness.
He is distorted and grotesque, yet he longs for a connection.
He speaks with shocking frankness about the world he sees and laughs.
Eff wants you to join in the joke.
In Wonderland, Eff asks the audience to step through the looking glass and peer into a fun-house mirror. He is looking for love and understanding in the theatre as he muses on the politics of proper etiquette, sex, beauty and baking. With Genesis out of the way, Eff is on to bigger topics: relationships, cookie recipes, the Beatles, and this city we call Wonderland.
From the heralded duo that keeps Toronto audiences laughing and squirming with their unique brand of satire, “Bouffon King” Adam Lazarus performs Eff under the direction of Canadian Comedy Award Nominee Melissa D’Agostino.
Wonderland is a fun place, but it can also be a scary, frightening and strange place. Just ask Alice.
